Master’s Level Intern

Amy Gay is a Master’s Level Intern studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Amy is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Amy enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about helping people navigate depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, trauma, and any of life’s many transitions. Amy’s approach is characterized by a deep empathetic understanding and ability to create a warm and safe environment for sharing. She considers it a great privilege to accompany clients on their healing journey by offering encouragement, support, hope, and a lens into their own strength and resources. Amy practices a client-centered and strength-based approach, focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
