Post-Master’s Volunteer

Aerin is a Post-Master’s Volunteer at The Refuge Center. She has a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Belmont University and is on a dual track to become licensed as a professional counselor and a clinical pastoral therapist. She is also currently pursuing a PhD in Mental Health Counseling at Belmont. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Tennessee Association of Pastoral Therapists.

Aerin approaches the process of therapy from the perspective of a fellow traveler or a wayfarer. She is passionate about working with individuals experiencing addiction, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ issues, religious and spiritual trauma, depression, anxiety, shame, and low self-esteem. She specializes in working with artists, writers, musicians, and creatives of all stripes and loves to help clients use their creative voices to tell their stories of wounding and healing. She also specializes in working with clients who are currently experiencing addiction or who need support in their recovery.
